10.10. 15:28 - Response to the See question from smiles57 It is most likely that Fidor will not integrate Bitcoin (or other Crypto) into their platform until after the regulatory guidance has been set by HM Treasury. Currently HM Treasury are formulating questions to launch another public consultation with regards to the shape of the regulations. I can say with a lot of confidence that these regulations should not be too onerous, and as customers (of Fidor) they should not affect you (they will be for Fidor to comply to). Or you can simply type in 'bitcoin' in the 'Contains' search box (on the left). To have an idea what the public consultation looks like - https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/digital-currencies-call-for-information After the public call, you can expect 6-12 months before any regulations are put into force (though it might be sooner!). This 2nd public consultation 'should' be out before the end of the year (probably November). There's a lot of waiting for these regulations from various bodies (internationally also)...
