Data-based rewards and products
in the category Current Account
Do you plan to use insight analytics (geolocation data, transaction data, social media data etc.) to create an individual profile in order to offer me targeted products and rewards (i.e. vouchers at my favourite retailers, notification based discounts, etc). I want to feel I am receiving product suggestions and rewards tailor only for me.
Bitcoins
in the category Virtual Currency
I heard a long time ago Fidor was going to use bitcoins. Any news?
Fidor bank UK app
in the category Customer Satisfaction
I've just downloaded the app. really impressed with how clean and crisp it looks.
I have a few suggestions on how to improve the app though.
Please include a breakdown of the transactions on the the accounts
in the search facility there doesn't appear to an option to view transfers out of your account.
Social media payments
in the category Internet Payment Systems
I know in Germany you already offer social media payments but, I was wondering if it's possible to setup a system where you can link a business social media account with the ability to invoice/send receipts to customers after they have paid you. For example a Google plus profile or even a website with Twitter attached? This would probably take off as a good payment option, I would use it if I'd forgotten my wallet at home and they didn't accept iou's or Apple Pay.
Great idea, I'm sure it'll be easy to implement as we currently have transfers through Twitter in the UK
Chip & PIN Machines
in the category Corporate Account
Currently I use the PayPal Here Machine in conjunction with my iPhone to process payments from B&B; Guests.
Although it is quick and efficient (with the money immediately available to transfer to my bank account) it is also very expensive - particularly so with non UK cards.
Are you planning to offer a Chip & PIN machine so I can ditch my PayPal Here machine?
Hi Skyeroovs, this will be something we would look at when we review and introduce corporate accounts (end of year, beginning of 2017). if this is something these customers want and it is cost effective for Fidor then I an see no reason why we wouldn't at least consider the idea.
Fidor's savings bonds
in the category Fixed Rate Bonds
I like the flexibility of choice of 6 month, 9 month and 18 month investments for Fidor's savings bonds (rather than just the 1 or 2 year period offered by most competitors). Please keep the interest rates up and competitive - it is this particular niche that made me open a Fidor account in the first place.
We are glad to hear you like the options we have set out. Don't forget to join in on the conversations when we have them regarding the rate changes etc.

Can you please disable the "more" button when comments are fully expanded and there are no more to view?
High interest Regular Saver account
in the category Accounts
A special account that offers a higher interest rate provided a set amount is fed to the account every month (higher interest rate for higher monthly savings)
Save payment details
in the category Accounts
Please add the feature to save payment details so that they do not need to be typed out every time a payment is made from the account.
Account for EU residents
in the category Current Account
It would be nice to allow EU residents to have an account as well. I have to make GBP payments a lot and I hate paying conversion fees back and forth between my EUR account.
It seems to be a more of a business decision, especially as UK high street banks can and do provide services to former residents that are now living abroad which is not very different.
Interestingly it is fairly easy to open an account in Poland (Bank Millennium certainly do, and their staff is generally fluent in English) or Germany (try online banks like Consorsbank, DKB and comdirect) without proof of a domestic address.
You are absolutely right and thats whyIm looking for another solution and so will other EU residents that use their service. Its enough that we pay 3-5EUR to our high street bank to chip another fee to their service that supposedly should be disruptive, but there is no disruption if they charge the same fee for a simplified service. I believe its a very wrong move from them and a good possibility for you to catch some customers;)
