Fidor UK & the "imaginary" testimonials.
Does anyone recognise the "community users" LizEe, MatthiasR & Christian112 that Fidor UK feature on their website? I couldn't find them anywhere on this "community" forum, despite Fidor UK stating they are "community users" who rave about how great this forum is. I widened my search a bit & found a couple of them:
MatthiasR happens to be Alek Van Bon - an art directer from Toronto:
https://fancy.com/alekvf
https://medium.com/@alekvanbonbon
Christian112 on the other hand appears to be a stock photo that's featured on many corny "boyfriend troubles" websites all over the world, especially in Russia:

https://choiz.me/post/22787682
Seems he has a fertility problem here:

I wonder if they know they are Fidor UK customers who think this forum is fab & post all the time while using their Fidor UK bank accounts in Toronto & Russia......

Oh ! A lot of detective work going on. Perhaps the users posted fake photos. It happens a lot on dating websites. Apparently ;-)
Interesting post though....ummmm !

Pretty suspicious and comical, I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation though. Can't see Fidor inventing users and making nice reviews.. way too amateurish.
Well you say that. Look at Revolut last week!

Pretty sure all these so called banks fake all sorts of data - testimonials, users, accounts, etc, etc - it's just that some of them are better at faking than others.
I see Fidor UK have removed this thread from the finance feed so nobody can see it.
I wonder why?.........

Wow! Thanks for providing the link to this in your latest post - I'd never have known about it otherwise. It's truly despicable that they are using fake reviews with photos scraped from the internet to advertise this place.
